Akiko called me back as i headed back into the restaurant , i turned around wishing she had miraculously gained her memory back.

She was huffing, as if the run exhausted her, i could see her asthma was still intact. When we used to play tag in the park she could barely handle it, it nearly killed her once, i dare not try it again.

” Akiko, please don’t run.. you still have asthma” i said, gently taking her hand and supporting her fragile structure.

She blushed, her pale face mingled with shades of pink.

” Th……a…n..k Y…ou…” she replied, bending down.

I felt scared for her, she was petrified of hospitals and if she continued running that’s where she would be going next.

“Here, sit”

I ran and grabbed the nearest chair, and placed her into it. She looked up at me, and smiled. I loved it when she smiled, her eyes sparkled.

*Akiko’s POV*

‘He was so nice to me‘ i couldn’t help but think to myself..

I managed to make a fool of myself in front of this guy, but it didn’t matter.. I hardly knew him.

Miura’s friend came over and asked if i was alright, Miura answered for me, since i was still unfit to talk.

” Naoki, could you get a glass of water from the waiter please ? ” my handsome saviour said, breaking the uncomfortable silence.

‘ Naoki, so thats his name..‘

*End Akikio’s POV*

* Naoki’s POV*

I rushed to the counter, and requested for a glass of luke warm water.

‘ It never hit me that the Akiko Miura keeps daydreaming about was so beautiful..’

The waitress smiled at me and handed me the cup, i thanked her.

I turned and saw Miura being so soft-hearted to Akiko, i felt a tug at my heat.

Confusion swept over me, what was that just now ?

Miura’s POV.

*Flashback*

“Akiko” i call, desperately..watching her with her back turned, walking away from me.

*End Flashback*

That was three years ago, when my childhood friend was still with me.

“Miura, you left us behind again.” Naoki called, his face an inch from mine.

“Sorry, Naoki..” my voice trails off, as i see a girl strolling through the crowd.

‘Could it be ?!’ i jump up from my chair, startling half the people sitting enjoying their lunch.

Adrenaline pulsed through my veins, i rushed after her, trying to spot her in the crowd of shoppers.

When i reached her i tapped her on the shoulder without thinking.

She turned around and familiarity hit me straight away, it had to be Akiko, it just had to. Her once small round face was now sharp and her dark brown eyes stared at me in confusion as she turned around to face me.

” Aki..ko ?” i managed to choke out, i knew i was embarrassing myself.

*End of Miura’s POV*

*Akiko’s POV*

The stranger before me was shockingly handsome, not that he had a beautiful face, but those alluring eyes had drawn my attention straight away.

” Who are you, and how did you know my name ?” i questioned.

” I am Miura.” he answered, his mouth lifting into a smile.

I had no idea who this guy was, he seemed to know me though, somehow. I see memories and happiness swarming into his eyes.

“I`m sorry, but i have no idea who you are, nice to meet you though” I said.

His face flopped immediately, i could tell he was rather disappointed.

” Are you sure you don’t remember me ?” he asked, making one last attempt.

” MIURA!!!!!!!!!” another guy yelled from across the foodcourt, he was average looking and he didn’t strike me as handsome unlike the stranger in front of me.

” Sorry for troubling you…..” this Miura guy said, his voice trailing off.

He turned and walked towards the other guy, and together they walked off and entered the nearest fast food restaurant.

I stared after him, unsure whether to ask him for his contact number. ‘ Maybe he was a friend? ‘ I racked my brain for possibilities, but everything became black after two years, since that dreadful accident.

” Miura !” i called………

“Hello?” i answered.

“Meet me at the station, ohkay?”

Before i could answer, she hung on up on me.

I changed, into a casual pair of jeans and a hoodie.Checking the mirror before i left, i styled my hair. This looked about right me, i thought.

Walking down the streets at night was annoying, but anything for her. I crossed when the traffic lights turned green, and the station slowly came into sight. I could see a couple huddled together in the shadows, the aura was romantic.

I reached for my phone, but something froze me in my tracks. The couple kissing was my girlfriends and this other guy..

“What the fck? ” i cursed, and ran up to them.

” Sorry, Luke…. i couldn’t figure a better way to tell you.” she said, her face emotionless.

I sank to the ground in shock, but an emotion i couldn’t quite place came over me.

I lashed out, hitting her and the dude she was kissing.

“AHHHHH” she screamed, blood was gushing out of the wound, it trailed down her face  and onto her sleeveless white shirt.

“QUIN!” the guy yelled, edging towards her with one hand covering his face.

” Don’t you dare touch her !” i glared at him, he hesitated.

I wasn’t scared, i knew it was a crime, but i was frustrated and unsure. It never occurred to me that i was violent.

Quin had her pulled out her phone, ready to dial 000. I let her, i left them.

What i did came back into my mind, my walk turned into a jog, then to a sprint. She was so cute, her pout, her smile. That grabbed my attention, when i first saw her. Love at first sight.

A car was driving on the the street, it wasn’t a police car, so i didn’t panic.

” Sir, stand with your hands us in the air, where i can see them & don’t try anything funny” a guy called out.

“Shit” i said under my breath.

I obeyed, my hands went up in the air. The police officer came out of the car with a gun, a loaded gun. With his free hand he unhooked a handcuff.

Thoughts were racing through my mind, should i try to escape ? I decided against it.

He reached me, took my hands and locked them into the handcuffs.

“You are in big trouble young man.” He whispered into my ear, while escorting me into the car.

‘Whatever’ i thought.
